Three-stage day-ahead scheduling strategy for regional thermostatically controlled load aggregators

Abstract Thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs) are regarded as having potential to participate in power grid regulation. This paper proposes a scheduling strategy with three-stage optimization for regional aggregators jointly participating day-ahead support demand response. The first stage is on the profit of and peak load grid. line loss voltage deviation regulation considered ensure stable operation at second stage, which guarantees fairness comfort users. A single temperature adjustment used control TCLs maximize response third stage. Finally, digital simulation based IEEE 33-bus distribution network system proves that proposed can keep within ± 5% different situations. In addition, Gini coefficient increases by 20% predicted percentage dissatisfied 48% lower than those without distribution.
